This looks cool, never heard of it before. Wonder what the difference between this and a LA-2A?

http://cgi.ebay.com/LA-1A-Limiting-Amplifier-ITA-Vintage-Fairchild660-LA-2A_W0QQitemZ320281500680QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320281500680&_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

It's a typical vari-mu type limiter made by ITA. Not related to the LA-2A in any way. There is also an LA-1A SS limiter made by UA/Urei also, which is seldom seen. Remember 'LA' stands for 'limiting amplifier', so there are lots of 'LA' products from different companies.

The schematic is for CCA LA-1, auction appears to be for an ITA LA-1; is that an error, are they related, are they unrelated?

ERR your absolutely correct look like a different thing all together.

I saw the LA-1A and missed the ITL part of the action. I guess at one time everything wasn't cool unless it's got LA in the model number.
