Login annoyance

Lately I found out I have to login "twice"... if I login in the right upper corner of the page the password is always incorrect. Then it transfers me to the page where there are username and password fields in the middle and it works.
I thought I entered wrong password (everytime?) but after copy/paste I found out I didn't.
Do I really have to enter password twice? Anybody had same problem?

It looks the problem lies in the Safari (I have older versions of both OS and Safari)... well I guess we'll have to live with it.  :

i had this on my mac when the forum system was updated but now after some weeks it was gone.
