A simple bracket made of a lamination I-bar 60mm long 0.5mm thick which is very easy to bend around the transformer housing and keep it neatly clamped in place;
Nice idea, I made most of my similar parts with thin steel sheet and a little bender I've made... Those are easier to bend and already cutted and drilled, more expensive but not a problem for one or two...
I've cut similar things with thick heat resistant plastic sheets, thick enough you can screw them in. But this shape is a definite improvement, should work for my plastics equally well. Thanks!
It saves having to cut or drill, 10 seconds to form it around the housing or a little bit longer if you want to get it neat. The material came from a scrapped transformer and I have plenty to spare so I can give these to anyone interested. Its the LL1540 size.
