Hammond 850G(?) are cheap and plentiful.  Small pile here.

850G is exactly what I have lined up for my pair. It’s probably the closest you’ll get to what McCurdy originally used after the summing amp.

Yup, 850G are nice 1:1 for sure.  The Hammond 2015 used in the distribution amps I have are a bit larger and offer a small stepup as well.  I have some specs from one I measured around here somewhere...plus they are McCurdy blue

Def the ones to use. 

It's funny to me the 850 series stuff is smaller yet specs better with same level readings than the 8xx stuff.
