quick question:

Is it ok to use a "regular" ceramic cap in the C1 (680pf) position, or does it need to be COG or NPO?

/Jonas

i can only find 680pf cog and npo caps at farnell, and i can only shop there through my dads company. And he prefers that i order something more than just 2 caps  , so i have to wait until i start a new project and order some other parts aswell.

So a regular will have to do in the meantime i guess.

If you don't mind the looks you could also add two filmcaps in series, these start at say 1nF and up. I figure it does not necessarily call for a ceramic there, on the contrary. So a filmcap preferred it it can be one. I've also seen pics here of polystyrene.

Ok, i actually found a 680pf film cap at a store in sweden, gonna order it now.

Its an axial 630v polyester one +/-2.5%. Is that ok? It doesnt matter if the voltage is higher right?
