Not worthless but not as high effectivity as others. Its all relative.

I think they are all working on boosters as fast as they can pedal.

But this has nothing to do with moderna...

The Chinese one's are based on first-generation virus (inactivated natural stock plus adjutant). They do not prevent infection and symptoms from infection, but are nonetheless pretty good in preventing severe illness and meaningless deaths. Could get an mRNA booster once available.

What about the "Delta Variant"? apparently some of the current vaccines are worthless against it.

Andrew Marr, a well known British reporter, caught the Delta variant at the recent G7 summit. Ha had had both jabs but got some mild symptoms. A test confirmed he had the Delta variant. His case is interesting because a couple or so years back he had a stroke although relatively young. As a result he has only one functioning lung. Delta is much more transmissible than the other variants but there is no evidence that the vaccines are ineffective against it.

And my daughter's boyfriend is feeling much better now.
