Idea is to make a passive monitor controller from 2 position 25 pole switch => ganged pot => 2x 1:1 transformers.
Could I use 2x transformers after a ganged pot to rebalance line output to my monitors? I've had them inline for ages to kill a ground loop from the monitor out of my console, but want to bypass the less than ideal circuitry of my consoles monitoring section.
I have 4 decent Marinair 1:1 transformers that were originally from a mic splitter.
a nice 25 x 2 pole switch I can use to flip between console and stereo converter outs
The pot I can replace with a better one if the concept works ok.
Should I put 2 more transformers before the ganged pot?
