you use an allen key take all four bolts out and there is a line around the front edge, this needs to be prised open very carefully, I used a blunt kitchen knife with masking tape around it so it doesn't damage the paint work, the entire front section should come off and seperate, also don't forget to take out all the screws in the back as well that will stop the circuit board coming out, this should make sense once you get inside.
 
Yes, thank you. Now I need the little curved flat washer that fell out when I took the circuit board off. Some kind of device to put pressure on the TDA ic???
 
My 20 year old Behringer 2031's use the same 'cheap as' TDA  chips  I bet ,
Id be well pissed off if my monitors broke down in only a handfull of years ,
Switchmodes may well save the producer a few bucks on a transformer but in my experience they die in a matter of years . No profit in making gear that lasts forever, took Neumann 70 years to figure that out  :D
