Again, i got my orientation wrong , have swapped the wires round and now have fantastic sounding output TXF's.
testing at the moment along side the Carnhill versions and mine sound much better in the upper mids and top end.
Hi hat and snare shifts up with mine and down with Carnhills.
Bottom end sounds the same which is a relief, very pleased that ive got to the finish line with these, i will put up some samples for comparison to see what people think.

regards

Spence.

Have wound a 10468 and going to test later this morning, specs wise it comes ou better than the marinair txfs I'm comparing it with, 8H on secondary. will also put a dpdt switch on for series/parallel.
Testing with 1290 and 1073.

well, testing wise i have tested against the following: Marinair, Carnhill 9045, Sowter 4062
i personally prefer my 10468 on drums, which ive been testing it on, mine sounds very wide frequency wise. lovely bottom end and mid range is pushed so it doesnt sound processed and much more live sounding.
Marinair is a bit pushed on the mids and sounds a bit processed and thin overall.
Sowter doesnt have as nicer bottom end and has a difference mid range that doesnt sound great with drums, snare seems to lack punch.
carnhill 9045 ive already commented on before.
