New 500 series project: please vote

1176 here (1178 second). I know, we have so much 1176/78 projects, but a 51x Version will be space saving.
Space is allways a a problem for a lot of people here i think.

1176/78 would be my 1st choice. But if it will be adressed by ptownkid anyway, then my vote is for the 902. These are hard to come by these days, not to speak about the FS900 rack

What output trans is being proto'd with this? Is the regular unbalanced output considered? Decent? Cheaper?  
Ed Anderson made some mini-1166's for the 10*4 eq; that would be nice for the balanced amp out.

All this is good, but I use 11 position switch on my UN76 units (1176 with neve class A output)
which acts more like 5 meg LOG pot. Linear potentiometer here, IMHO, not very useful
as small release times range is very squezzed. If people like it....why no.

with the mixbuzz available and AOC in the works (and apparently an 1176!), my vote goes for the transient designer as well.  i'm all for compression in all its many approaches, but for now i think the 51x format would be best served by a broader variance in available tools.  that being said... the (insert tiny descriptor) compressor would be my second choice.
