pin1 = B+
pin 2 = heater
pin 3 = pattern
pin 4 = bias
pin 5= audio +
pin 6 = audio -
pin 7 = ground

For the most part, I have settled on this pinout configuration for all new tube microphone builds in the studio for consistency which allows me to place the 2 large gauge wires of the Gotham GAC7 cable that I use on pin 2 (heater) and pin 1 (Ground). The only deviation is on U47 type builds that combine heater and B+ together, I utilize pin 2 for the B+ in those builds so my expensive cables remain interchangeable between all tube microphones.
In the second line "pin 2 (heater) and pin 1 (Ground)" should it not read "pin 7", rather than "pin 1"?

Hello, can someone please tell me the dimensions of the PSU board or the enclosure of the Alctron TPS100? Thank you.

Apologies for the confusion. This is due to a BOM change between 1.4 and 1.5(a).

The original board was designed to be configurable between a passive heater supply (e.g. simple RC filtering), and an active heater supply (the LM317). After all of the hundreds of people that use the psu, exactly zero of them ever wanted to use a passive heater supply. :)

Since it took up so much of the board space, I reduced the final capacitor from 4700uF (intended for the passive supply), to a 10uF/25V. However for an active supply, this capacitance isn't needed as the heater load is essentially constant current, and the datasheet recommends an output capacitor "to improve transient response":

In short, you can just leave it out.
Hi Matador, Where can I find the schematic and BOM for version 1.5a? I just received 4 of these new PCB's from Chunger and the lastest version of the BOM and schematic I have is 1.3. Thanks for your attention.
