I've recently acquired this old master section control panel.  I was told 'it's from an old Neve', but with no other info or providence. Some research online shows it doesn't match any of the early Neve branded consoles (they were already using the Marconi knobs), but the knobs and switches do seem to match some of the very early Neve-made consoles for Philips studio in the mid 60s.
It seems to be much bigger and more complex than those consoles though.

Look familiar to anyone? Any more clues on what it's from?
(I'm in Melbourne, Australia, if that helps)

Also looking for ideas on what to do with it. Should it be in a museum somewhere? Would someone restoring a desk of this era be in need of it? Should I rewire it and put it to use as the control section for my studio?  Install it (unwired) as a 'busy board' for producers?  Just frame it and put it on the wall? :)

Its indeed from an early Neve desk, ca late 60´s.
If you want to sell it i would be interested to use it in one of my Neve rebuild projects.

While Neve pioneered the use of standardized modules for the channels, buses, and outputs of their consoles, the master sections for most consoles were largely custom specified. So, it's most likely that you have a one-off, designed for that particular customer's requirements. If you have no further docs, then it's hard to say where the module came from or what it's supposed to do. But, you can still determine what it does by tracing the hardware out.
