Hello!

I got offered a pair of Amek CC115/S1 input modules pre/eq
with powersupply. But not racked. Should be in working condition.

Can you tell me anything about these modules?
Are they Neve? 1073 like?
Do they fit into a 2U 19" rack?
Preamp good? Eq good?
Schematic around?
Could I expect to easily remove the aux/routing-section?

I haven't seen any pictures yet of them. And I've not found much on the web.

Thanks!

If it's similar to the some other amek/tac preamps, with sowter transformer input  and NE&TL opamps it doesn't sound at all like 1073.
Am using TAC 16/8 often with "direct" unbalanced outputs and it sounds great. Completely not neve (it should be?) but f*^$#@g great warm sound :)

Cool :)

I was told there is something like Amek Neve, a connection of some sort.
Anyway, I'm not a fan of 1073 preamp, but like the 1073 eq (and would like one).
Great warm sound is good words, but taste can be a personal thing.
Do you do find them colourful? Neutral? Balanced? Fast/slow transient?

Anyone who tried the eqs?

If you will have schematic it will be much more simply to compare :)
TAC eq?
"Colourful? Neutral? Balanced? Fast/slow transient?"
NO :D - Cheap is adquate :D
Simple RC filters, not bad, not good,  not ugly. Probably better than behringer but nothing special.
There's a big possibility that they share similar topology.
