Hi everyone!
I have here a pair of old philips el6050/12 mics.
It seems the tube was removed and replaced with a transistor circuit of some kind.
The original transformer, and a couple of caps around it are still here, so are the 2 resistors ans the cap by the capsule,
everything in between is a piece of perfboard with 2 transistors (bc251b/ls3819), 2 diodes and a few resistors.
The connector still has most of it's 7 pins used so it wasn't turned into a 48v mic, or so I guess...
My questions are:
-Does anyone have a clue of what happened?
-I have no intention of rebuilding the tube preamp at the moment but would it be a good idea?
-which circuit could I use to make it 48V and retain the different capsule directivities?
I'll try to post pictures...
Thanks!
