I have a phillips PRO 36 stereo Tape recorder for service (rebuild).Anyone any ideas where I could lay my hands on a schiematic. Anyone in Holland got any contacts at Eindhoven(spelling ?)
This series of professional recorders are circa: late 60's early 70's
Great quality. Built like a brick **** house .Thanks.

touchy, touchy, touchy...

It took me a while to not see two l's in there myself. Years, probably. Even looking at scopes and recorders and manuals and what-not daily.

My wife lived in Phillips, Wisconsin for a while too.

No problem here - if I really (realy ? ) had a problem with it I hadn't dared to say something about it.

It's because of that screwdriver-type, right ? It doesn't seem to be an outside 'phenomenon' though; my girlfriends surname is a variation on the P-word and often gets misspelled with LL here in the Netherlands as well.

My wife lived in Phillips, Wisconsin for a while too.
It'd been fun if Philips had built a factory or something in Phillips...

Bye & have a good weekend,

Peter

OK guys it's all my fault I should know how to spell Phlips by now. Spellin not my strong point !

Peter. If you are able to locate a complete manual (in English !)I would be very grateful.

Hi Andy,

If you'll PM me with your address I'll get it out. My copier is on the fritz, so I'll have to run up to my wifes office, but I'll make you up copies and get 'em out, maybe tomorrow, certainly by Monday.

Sorry badger for Phillips-screwdriving up your thread. Good luck getting that PRO 36 going again.

Anyone in Holland got any contacts at Eindhoven(spelling ?)

Spelled perfectly  We don't have much logic in our language here...

But hey, it's both Holland and Eindhoven here, so as said, if the Dan-info doesn't make it just let it know.

Must admit lots of old Philips-archives seem to be evaporated - survival of info largely depending on the coincidence of running into one of the garbage collectors we are.

As an example, I bought an old Philips lab-amp from work but couldn't find info. As it happened a few cities further on the local university threw away their documentation and it was saved by a DIY-type who provided me a copy.
