Hello!

I tried to search some of the nice original looking pultec knobs some time ago... I have some dakaware knobs (boost atten...) and those on/off knobs and atten sel knobs...
The only missing knob is the cool rectangular knob for frequency

A group member told me about the caltronix website... http://www.caltronix.com/
They have a very cool knob in the catalog:
http://www.caltronix.com/catalog/cat89.htm

I tried to contact them.. but they only have distributors in the US.
There is no minimum order and they told me they would ship to germany.
They gave me the prices but after ordering I haven't heard anything from them. I asked about the shipping costs etc... But no reply.

My question is... has anyone ordered these knobs yet?
Or has the ability to send/sell some?

Here is a distributor list:
http://www.caltronix.com/distributors.htm

Or does another supplier have these knobs in stock?

Kind regards,
Frank.

Frank,

How many are you looking for? I need some of those also, I'll try to order them and I'll send you some if that's easier for you.

Frank.

Hi Frank,

OK, I'll follow through and see if I can get their attention.

I have six I found at a surplus store and was planing on holding on to them. However If You REALLY want them I can let them go.

Thanks nacho459! As Iam thinking about making 5 pultecs I'll wait and look what jrmintz can achieve. But.. very nice suggestion! :thumb:

Very cool website MikeKensington! Thanks for that! :thumb:

Thanks chris. New links

I'd seen the cliff stuff at musikmesse frankfurt germany... nice things. But I think thats not diy-friendly because i feel that they're selling only in bigger quantities?
I think I'd seen "cliff uk" inside of bäh*ringer stuff.

KILOs ML series looks like the knobs of the studio electronics urei.

Frank;
Thanks for the link.
But I am 100% sure they are the Dakaware knobs.
Exact same catalog page.
I cannot find that old info as it is on the old group.

Hey they are cheaper than I remember!

Cool.
Now i have all knobs. :green:
Today i was in a studio to check which colour is near to the original with those colour charts available from building centers.
So if "Hornbach" is your next building center try to use: SO.20.40. The nearest RAL Colour seems to be "azure blue RAL5009.

Does anyone know a supplier for these oldscool bypass switch or the ugly fuse holder? :?

soundguy: which console?

Hi Matthias.

I'd done a small list with links.
The on/off and atten sel. knobs are dakaware from www.mouser.com. The big dakaware knobs (boost/atten) were used but in good condition...with a little work they looks like new. The frequency knobs are from calltronix, but they didn't answered to my mails, so Seth (jrmintz) was kind enough to order some for himself and me and send them to me. Thx Seth! I love them.

(i think they are the same as tubetech uses)
