I bought an AMI m49 body that I'm very happy with. Arrived 3 days after I paid.

I paid $650 for body, headbasket, bottom bell with binder connector,  plexi disks, standoffs, and bv11r transformer. Not sure if it is the current costs though. I added more for a bv11classic transformer and a  nice wooden box.  I'm real happy with it.

I'm sorry what a bummer. I don't know if AMI is still making the kits? I couldn't find it on their website just now, but when I googled "AMI M49" I found this page: http://www.tab-funkenwerk.com/id183.html

So you'll prolly have to call them to see if they are still making them (785) 697-2257.

I am in on the Aputis bodies, but be wary on this one (no offense Andrew!) because this is another long wait for the results. However, I pulled the trigger because I know a) people have received amazingly high quality bodies that they have raved about and, b) I believe Andrew is a great guy and I love his version. So I sent him my money knowing full well I might be in for quite a wait. Hopefully not.

Anyway, have you tried contacting Riggler directly or perhaps Tskguy here on the forum? Dumb question probably, but a thought.

I emailed Damian (riggler) last week so hopefully he will make a post.

Last post by Riggler was in March. Tskguy chimed in, in June, that the project was still going but very slowly.

Unfortunately some of these projects come to a standstill with no way of knowing if they are going, or if life issues have blocked them completely. I wouldn't send money to Riggler on this since it's been half a year since any kind of any update. But ymmv. Good luck all.

I think when the taste of losing the cash is out of my mouth I will get a body from somewhere like AMI or Andreus.  No biggie, though.  Got other things I can work on until then.  Maybe one day the body will still come and I can use it then...

I just received a full U47 kit and a C12 body from AMI. So yes, they still make them. They even have an M49 kit/parts. Super helpful people and I would highly recommend them as an option. Also, Don Audio sells the Equinox U47 bodies, but I don't know what the lead time is as they are made to order.

Try contacting Riggler with a PM, or try talking to tskguy since he was working on this project too.

New trim band designed. Fully machined, should make for a perfect consistent mesh fit.

It should... any hope of getting a body or a refund.. it has been a few years.

Kind of sad that everyone is just like, oh well. These guys are getting a break here. They're not making right. They've  just disappeared. Should be a lawsuit actually. I remember not having the funds at the time, but wanting an M49 body. I'm glad I wasn't able to pay for one or two at the time.

I, too, sent in $$$ and have nothing to show.  Maybe someday.........  I'm pretty sure Riggler fell on hard times, but that doesn't excuse lack of communication.  I don't know how much Tksguy has to do with the project.  As to legal options, you can't get blood out of a rock.
It's too bad when we get ripped off by forum members.  It gives everyone a bad taste, although the majority will bend over backwards to make a transaction right.
