Hi guys!

I only find the .0022 uF, .0012 uF / 100v good film caps . If I use those caps, is a problem for this circuit??? or is OK?

I can't see how to wire the switch/jacks/ect. And what does MASA mean? Would I wire it differently using an 3SPDT switch? Where does the 0v go to? Sorry, HUGE NOOB.  ???


EDIT: Tried to do as I see, didn't work. The small IC's got super hot.

One problem though, all the knobs minus presence work backwards! What could I have done wrong  :-[

just swap the wires to the extreme pins of the pot. leave the center wire intact.

Excellent. Thank you everyone for the help, it works fantastically. Pretty good for a first project! Have any of you guys done any mods to it? I'm thinking maybe a little more gain would be cool.

Ressurecting this thread as i will be building two. Good info and one of the best distortion boxes for bass IMO. I've sourced all the parts and i went with the cheap Wima caps for almost everything but i could not find some of the values (mainly the pf) so what would be best to use for those, Ceramics? Tantalum? Orange drops or anything else? I put ceramics in the list but i'm open to suggestions, and yes i want loads of gain

Another attempt to resurrect this thread - I've just joined the forums just to get advice on building my own BDDI clone. The advice so far has been great, being a complete n00b, I think I have a good understanding of how to go about this now.

Douglas Castro the designer of darkglass pedals was the bass player of my band. I think he doesn`t use a baxandall, I think he is using a 3 band eq like this one
