Impedance ratio is the square of the voltage ratio. 2:1 voltage ratio translates into 4:1 impedance ratio.
It's still possible that the guys from Monacor didn't lie and were quite creative.
It is a versatile transformer with different connection combinations.
To obtain only galvanic separation, or sound coloring, in a 1:1, 600:600 configuration, windings 1-2-3 and 6-7-8 must be identical, as electrical, electromagnetic, mechanical, etc. parameters.
Then we could connect as in the sketch and get the impedance ratio
1200:300 i.e. 4:1, so voltage ratio 2:1

... In addition, they have a noise of 22..24dB unacceptable for me, after 20 years of passion for Rode.
as I read in a Rode NT1 thread [here on diyaudio] there's a pb with the NT capsule basket : one way could be to keep the electronic of a NT1 (not A but for ex. Siganture Series) and place it in another body + it's original capsule or a better one...
So in addition of a NT1 second hand of... let's say 150€ :
- SC450 for donor body > 45 to 50€
and eventually an good-or-excellent capsule > 60€ to ... (180€ ?)

Is it really worth the 40-60eu shipping from the US, though? Plus customs and whatever other import taxes...

if it is sent as a gift, the mic multi-pattern would arrive in Europe for 140€ > not a bad deal if it's as good as micolas says...

I don't know if that was the capsule we were talking about
The ST59 uses a 32mm brass capsule with Aspen Pittman's disk resonator diaphragm design, to extend the high frequencies.
Like its brothers, the ST59 has rather high noise for a jFET microphone: 22dB.
And the frequency response is not so neutral. Some prefer to remove the resonator disc.

You said :
I think the ST55 / 51(and possibly the double versions) uses that very good capsule found in expensive microphones.

What double versions do you mean ?

ST55 is no worry to find at a good price (60€ on ebay)

I have already transplanted the NT1,NT1000 and NT2-a into a Behringer B2-pro body they all sound excellent, maybe I'll tone down the highs a little more sometime.

do you confirm a (sound) pb with the original basket ?

Exactly, that's why I modified the headbasket to the Rode NT1a, now it sounds good, no abrasive resonances, on high mids
It looks like a penis🤣 but it sounds good, a modern combination of
c800/c12/u47/251
ok ! now I see your post in the same thread :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That's why I suggested to move the circuit (and why not the capsule) into another body !
You chose the more complicated solution / but I've understood that you don't like to throw away things ;)

I plan to transplant another NT2-a into an HL-95 body from Ali..ss, which has a similar headbasket to the U87
The guys said also that the NT-2A is a very good mic... don't know about Rode, don't even listened to one... (maybe a great loss)

no pb with headbasket I supppose (completely different one)

do you refer to the old one or new one ???
old one seems to be cardio or omni (no F8)
