The most suitable I would use it for the microphone with the K47 flat.
You WILL want to disconnect the U87-like feedback network, if you plan to install a non-K67 capsule. Otherwise it'll end up much too "dark" / dull / muffled.

and 2 mica silver... 1000pF
a friend of mine has some polystyren-cooper (rare & not made anymore) he gave me some 680pF for my Oktava MK-012 pair and my Superlux ORTF S502
the mica I only used in guitar effect pedals, it gives me a kind of resonance. I don't like it on voice, purely personal thingand 2 mica silver... 1000pF

How do I disconnect that part ?You WILL want to disconnect the U87-like feedback network, if you plan to install a non-K67 capsule. Otherwise it'll end up much too "dark" / dull / muffled.
IIRC the sc1100 has no de-emphasis networkYou WILL want to disconnect the U87-like feedback network, if you plan to install a non-K67 capsule. Otherwise it'll end up much too "dark" / dull / muffled.
Good news! I'm curious how the two transformers compare.Just a short input : my friend (polystyren-cooper-cap guy) has some Monacor tr (same as the one recommended by micolas) in stock so I'll get one earlier than I thought > let you know soon how things go on...
Good to know ! that dynamic mics have a 2:1 tr...The biggest excitement in DIY gives me the tests, even the most absurd ones that sometimes defy pure theory.
à propos, in the dynamic microphones shure 58,57, etc. there are transformers with approximately 2:1 ratio
In SC1100 it is preferable to keep 2:1 ratio,I think, as I said before, that I can wire the Monacor in 3:1 (600Ω > 200Ω)
yes coul be... BTW SC450 is also a great donor-body for DIY (€40 or so on second hand market)I have a suspicion that the transformer from
The SC 1100 is similar to the SC 450 xlr

correct! but in the specification sheet it clearly says (in French of course)Impedance ratio is the square of the voltage ratio. 2:1 voltage ratio translates into 4:1 impedance ratio.

BTW : what do you think of Sterling (cheap) mics ? I've noticed 1 cardio & 1 multi wich could maybe good candidates for diy...In my M-audio Nova and Sterling ST-77 I have the transformer with 4:1 ratio, it really delivers a slightly lower signal at the output, but any preamp or interface manages the gain without problems.
If Emmathom wants to change the transformers in both microphones then he will be able to use them as a matched pair without problems.
but in the specification sheet it clearly says (in French of course)
ratio 1:2 / 2:1
My Sterling ST-77 is very old, Made in Germany, it was quite expensive, built with quality parts, it is my main and favorite microphone for female voices, it sounds like soul, gospel voices from the 80s, (Whitney Houston etc )BTW : what do you think of Sterling (cheap) mics ? Good for them, for managing to break the laws of physics then...
