Seeking advice on Crown DC300a speaker amp

I did not know the DC300-A requires 1.7V rms to drive it appropriately, so that relegates my project to "needs a preamp".

Specs say max output of that is 12dBu, which translates to about 3Vrms

ACS1 doesn't seem to have any electrical specs listed, but trying it out costs you nothing (and remains to be seen if you even really need the FULL output of the power amps, before you melt your ears off)...
