Here is some Scottish propaganda to lure you the lot here to spend your summer holidays. Coffees on me.

Stirling Castle, Great Hall model. Circa 1996. Main structure obeche wood. Roof trusses beech with eucalyptus panelling. Apart from the baseboard there is not a single nail or screw on this model as per the brief. All tongue and groove joints. All hand made, chisel and scalpel job. No 3D printing here. That's for wimps.

Collecting Mirabelles:

That´s one of four trees I have. The view in opposite direction is like this:




We´re looking from the first hill of the Black Forest across the Rhine Valley to the northern Vosges Mountains at the horizon.

The day ended with 2kg of Mirabelles+Ginger marmalade and 4kg of Mirabelles with rosemary and thyme marmalade. Yummy

The animals didn’t get all the wild blueberries this year. Although tiny they are packed with flavor. We managed to gather enough for some pancakes. More than seen here. Unfortunately there were no wild strawberries around.
