@Wordsushi great voice, BTW. My brother and I watched some of Your videos recently, and we tried to figure out which capsule is in which mic in videos where You didn't stated that in comment (or we couldn't find the info). Can You briefly share here or PM me with all links where You used flat47?

Also, I think that in this video Wordsushi said that this mic is u47 style body with transformer-less circuit inside, or did I get this wrong?

Yes, it is a transformerless circuit in this mic in this video and also in the "Punching Mushroom People" video. Both are the only ones currently on the channel with the "Flat 47". It's an incredible capsule.

it really sounds great (Butterstick) that it makes me want to hear flat47 in it also Unfortunately, probably not. Butterstick is most likely headed to a musician client for his next record and I'm not planning on further tinkering with it. But I'm not ruling out building another one sometime down the road with the Flat 47. It's just not in my immediate plans.Any chance that we can expect flat47 with Butterstick circuit tests?
I was inspired by the @Wordsushi Butterstick and have built one with the flat47 in lieu of the 3U M7 capsule. My first ever mic build! The mic is functional and sounds great. So far I've tested it out on voice and violin. Unfortunately, I don't have sushi's amazing voice so it will be difficult to compare it to the 3U M7 version. I'm currently working to complete some cosmetic items. A friend helped me design and 3D print "adapter rails" to easily mount the PCB in the mic body. My plan is to share some pictures, BOM, a link to the 3D print file, and maybe some audio files here soon!Any chance that we can expect flat47 with Butterstick circuit tests?
Dude! Yassssss! That's awesome. Looking forward to seeing what you share here. The 3d printed rails is a fantastic idea. Having to finesse the PCB's in there with the existing rails is a friction point in the process that I'm very glad you figured out a solution for.

Think she ment not perfect fit if you want to go authentic with original 47 fet sound, but by all means, I think it would still make a great sounding micHello all.

I have question, maybe the boring one, but, When flat47 capsules are going to be available for shipping? And, will You update website with capsule's new beautiful look?
Also, You mentioned that flet47 maybe is not perfect fit for u47 fet circuit, have anyone tried this and can share experience? I kannot remember this info from 32 pages of posts (one cannot read this in 1 day if wants to understands everything written - congrats to everyone for great contribution to this thread, really really good informations for someone interested in mic builds overal, not only in soliloqueen's capsules). Maybe I should read all the pages once again just to renew lessons learned

As far as I can remember, Soliloqueen has said flat47 is not the best choice for FET47 circuits. I won’t claim to know why, but I’d imagine to guess it would just be too dark for that design. Someone above on this page just mentioned they tried it in a fet47 circuit alongside a D7 (Dany’s M7) and thought they sounded similar in that circuit in their opinion. I have both but haven’t tried the Flat47 in my fet47. I tried it in a Km84 LDC circuit and thought it sounded amazing there. I will probably continue to use it in that circuit. I also tried the D7 in the Km84 circuit and personally I thought it sounded very different; i.e. more meaty and bold with a little more presence in the upper mids. In the Km84 circuit at least, compared to the D7, the Flat47 was more mellow, rounded, and almost ribbon-like on the top end.Hello all.

Yes, this is what Wordsushi's butterstick microphone is, if I am not wrong, LDC version of KM84
Is it too much to ask if You can switch the capsules, and compare them?
It can easily be used i fet47, however if you are going for 1:1 fet47 replica this capsule won't get you there because of the sound profile. The original fet47 capsule has a upper midrange bump.Hello all.

I already did. You can send me your email I will send you comparison files. I don't think it's fair to Soliloqueen for me to post files of someone else's capsule in this thread for comparisons. I have comparison files though if you want to hear them. That's a good point. I'll just record some stuff with the new capsules and share that as is. They should arrive this week, so hopefully I'll have some recordings early next week.

I wanted to include a pic of what the capsule comes with. I'm really excited to try the capsule with the M49 design I am building.
I am a bit confused, however, on why there isn't any clear information on what it comes with. I have built many, many projects, but have a full-time career as a touring musician, so am not able to dedicate as much time to the DIY building community as I used to.
Sourcing materials that are out of one's industry is exponentially harder than if one works in it. Getting a capsule with a capsule saddle but no post is strange. I can find "something that works" or I can buy another capsule mount. I will probably do the latter.
One of the things that eventually pushed me away from the forum years ago was the weird sense of snarkiness with many members in helping others with less knowledge. I was around before all the kits and bits. Many of my friends built careers in selling components to folks to help them. I know that it can be annoying when people want "paint by numbers answers" and there are some people that come here with those requests, but i see far more who are eager to learn and are just overwhelmed by some of the unknowns(and there are many in this field.) I say this as someone who is open, generous, and patient with the many people that ask me "dumb" questions about my areas of expertise.
In any case, I am referring many recordist friends to Soliloqueen's capsules because she is really good at what she is doing, but I would suggest a little more clarity as a business owner. It's an ethical model and one that is simply the cool thing to do.

I do not have a capsule mount with my donor body.
I have been involved in this community for a long time, though I have been largely absent for a while due to being busy with music. I am very aware of the generosity of community members. I have read through her threads. I asked a couple of times just to know what she included with the pieces she was selling. If you are selling something, it is just standard practice to communicate what you are selling. It is not presumptuous to want to know that. Sourcing things like a capsule post are actually kind of hard. It's not something a typical consumer can easily aquire, and the things I've found to this point are not satisfactory to me

If you paid many times more than this for my capsule you would also only receive a mount and no post. I think the DIY community has learned over the years that a mount does not include the post since almost every DIY body comes with this post. A post can be purchased from any mic parts company for very cheap. I used to charge extra for the mount and some companies still do.

Literally though you could make one out of almost anything. Even a bolt with a few nuts would work.

I don't include a mounting post because I have an anaphylactic allergy to the rubber. as I have said before in this thread. What further clarity would you recommend? Genuine question, not snarky.
You also said you went through the first 20 or so pages, but on pages 7 through 12, there are several photos, including one I posted, of the capsules with all accessories in box. And then, for good measure, you asked me to clarify, and I told you directly what was included.
I did give you a "paint-by-numbers answer," (a term and perspective I openly resent for trivializing the needs of beginners, which has put me at odds with people here before) and I was happy to, and am always happy to. I don't mind your criticism--I am already adding the photo to the store page--but this characterization of me is just not accurate.
