Hi, i tried them and didn‘t really like them. Something weird was going on, audible in the upper mids. I guess the flat K47 needs a different (bigger) headbasket.

Oh these are the old ones I see. I built a microphone with a similar body style, I think it was with a studio projects b3? And a flat k47 and it sucked so that tracks. It really hates small, cylindrical baskets.

@soliloqueen Are there any omni / fig8 frequency response charts of the flat K47 available?
not right now. i'd have to send them to an actual lab, and these patterns are even more susceptible to body anatomy than cardioid. i will do this relatively soon.
what kind of dimensions should one be aiming for for the flat k47? is the a lower or upper limit?

i don't think you missed it, i will check. right now i'm taking stock, sorting out b-stock, processing the FR charts and matching everyone's pairs for the orders that requested it. shipping of retail orders begins in earnest now. the first people should be receiving their k87s by tuesday

Yes. A couple of the units are OOS. Probably spacer inconsistency. At some point I'm going to move to metal spacers for all the capsules because the plastic ones are just too squishy

Has anyone tried the flat k47 with one of the cheapo alibaba tlm103 housings or a flat 414 style housing? wondering if the previously described issues with small cylindrical bodies are due to the fact that its a cylinder or because of the proximity or both. by the looks of things the original cage is very close to the top of the capsule
Hi @soliloqueen ! I (at last !) installed my Ari K47flat pair in my mod. t.bone SC1100 and the result is gorgeous 
The headbasket seems to fit the capsule's sound (I've installed your support so the capsule is centered vertically - which was not the case in the original mic). The capsule also delivers a pleasant sound even in omni mode.
Will test this SC1100 mod. vs TLM103 & TLM193 in a while...

I have to admit I am confused, too. I do not understand the timings / ETA on shipments, and what I read here is 50% good news / 50% confusing statements.
I placed an order mid October, is there any chance i'll get my capsule pair before early / mid December here in Europe ? I was hoping to use them on a record then.
