hey bremusound, how did you get along with these? any demos we can hear? has anyone else done anything similar?

Hi, i tried them and didn‘t really like them. Something weird was going on, audible in the upper mids. I guess the flat K47 needs a different (bigger) headbasket.
These are already disassembled for putting the guts in bigger bodies. Sorry!

What serial numbers were your capsules

Oh these are the old ones I see. I built a microphone with a similar body style, I think it was with a studio projects b3? And a flat k47 and it sucked so that tracks. It really hates small, cylindrical baskets.

not right now. i'd have to send them to an actual lab, and these patterns are even more susceptible to body anatomy than cardioid. i will do this relatively soon.

what kind of dimensions should one be aiming for for the flat k47? is the a lower or upper limit?

So the k87s are done and shipping soon and like eight people have emailed me out of nowhere asking for estimates on their order even though normally people don't ask, but I haven't told anyone they're done yet! It's so funny. It's like y'all have ESP or something. The answer is now lol

i don't think you missed it, i will check. right now i'm taking stock, sorting out b-stock, processing the FR charts and matching everyone's pairs for the orders that requested it. shipping of retail orders begins in earnest now. the first people should be receiving their k87s by tuesday
