Looking for a  " reasonable  " price on a wide adjustable stereo bar, like this Superlux MA-90
or better , seems allot of money for a hunk of metal . I using a k&m one but it only has two spots for
mic clips , Anyone have a good lead ? tia regards Greg

I went to the local hardware store and bought a 4-foot long 1/2" square steel tube. I measured out holes every 6 inches, and put one in the center. I bought 3/8" large thumbscrews that go through the holes and thread into my shockmounts, or alternatively into standard 5/8-27 thread adapters.

Also, I picked up a set of eyelets so I can fly it.

I'd love to see a pic , my own handy work doesn't impress me, but mostly
I want to be able to go from a spaced pair to an XY quickly and sliding seemed a good idea
I'm probably o.k. for spaced pair now, but also wanted the markings and to experiment a little more

Here you go. Getting flown for an orchestra gig. I can do XY, ORTF with it. Even Jecklin disc. I use a pair of shockmounts that give me a little wiggle room when positioning the mics. The thing is solid.

But you might really want something sliding...

And here it is closer, with a pair of C3000s. To be used outside for a documentary recording.

Nice ! thanks for posting
The only reason why I can think of that they charge hundreds of dollars
is that they can , would have thought knock offs would be more abundant, but I guess
It's not a very big market
