this is one of the better amps to hit the bench, Splawn Quick Rod, 2000 bucks new,

cool rotary sw for overdrive  three progressively gain increasing settings with the faceplate marked 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, .

used to be from Texas, now N.C.

first modern amp i have seen that uses carbon comp resistors,

nice solder work, looks like they took their time, this guy was blowing B+ fuses, 500 ma, probably to low for 100  watt transient response, mains fuse, 4A, not labeled for slo-blo on back of chassis so we stuck one in there as that is what the whole world uses for git amps,

schematics top secret as with most boutique amps, but we did find the preamp,

first and second gear is just a voltage divider (resistor)  3rd gear switches in a cathode cap,
001/002 is another divider
dual master volumes so you keep the same tone eq while you boost, left this out on the DIY copy, excess baggage, but some folks like them>
