SSL extrenal Sidechain?? question??

HI,

there are different ways to implement an external sidechain to the ssl compressor...

jakob showed a simple wireing solution, steffen a schem with opamp bufferd in and outs...

my question is...
do you really need buffering for an unbal. send/return ...

I recognized that the signal at the send is quite low...
so wouldn't it be better that the sidechain send signal
has the same level as the signal at the input of the compressor ??

depends on what you need. Try the simple version, and if it dosen't work for you (I think that it will), you can always make it more complicated.
