Hi,
I want to mix dry signal to the compressed signal...
jakob posted a nice mod some time ago, but if you mix
it in the circuit itself, output gain always affects the wet/dry mix setting...
so my idea is to build a simple stepped attenuator around the circuit...
you can set a certain leve of dry signal and adjust the mix with the output gain pot...
the signal goes form the xlr-input to the attenuator to the output-xlr
I have some 2x5 dual stepped switches here... so there will be 4 attenuated steps + off setting... -10db , -6db , -3db , 0
there's a nice java app that calculates the resistance for each step...
http://www.quadesl.com/attenuator.html
but does anybody know at what total resistance I should start??
50k, 100k ??
thanks,
matthias
