I've never posted a rant but I think I am going to do so now. Irregardless of the debate on which key the song is in, why do most bar bands end the song on a D chord? I've seen Lynyrd Skynyrd no less than 10 times in their prime years and I don't ever remember then ending on D live. Also, I've never seen a video of them ending in D even with the current line-up. I sit in with many bands and if they play Sweet Home Alabama I ask them which chord will you end on, inevitably its D. I'm not here to debate the key, I'm just curious as everyone seems to ignore the actual band's ending live for the last 50 years as if they did it wrong. I've even seen tribute bands end on D???

Maybe I'm irritable because my coffee maker was on the blink........

If you listen to that song, in the verse about Neil young, there is Al kooper doing a poor imitation of Neil young. He is singing and it’s buried in the mix but it’s there and can be heard on headphones.
I never knew that till Al pointed it out to me.
