Pretty simple.  If you play the "both sides do it" game, then maybe you should have some evidence to back it up.  Sometimes both sides aren't doing it, or there's a significant difference in the number or degree of offenses between the two sides.  When someone provides evidence contradicting your argument, " I'm not sure I understand why the exercise is important though" is a pretty weak response. 

I apologize if this sounds pedantic or condescending, but I'm taking you at your word when you say you're not sure you understand.

It has been a long wait but the Durham investigation just dropped his second indictment (Sussmann, with DNC ties, for lying to FBI).

This (lying to govt) is a common process crime gotcha but taking this many years to prosecute him suggests that he may have all his ducks in a row.

Not much reaction to the Sussmann indictment? Perhaps people don't recall what this was all about. Talking about election integrity how about a Clinton campaign lawyer approaching the FBI, pretending to be a concerned private citizen, to besmirch his candidate's opposition?

At least Hillary was smarter than Hunter and bleach bitted a couple 10k of her "personal" emails, so it stands to be seen how high up that organization this Durham investigation can reach. These kinds of process crimes (lying to investigators) are often used to get low level people to flip on the big fish. It appears that the news is starting to pay attention to some more of Hunter's shenanigans. If they paid attention to his laptop before the last election instead of burying that damaging "news" so deep it still hasn't surfaced, independent voters might have made better informed decisions. Hunter requesting $2M as a success fee for freeing up Libyan assets frozen by the Obama administration while his father was VP doesn't even sound that shocking after his other dramas.

Now that old conspiracy theories are melting away and revealing themselves to be actual news stories, what other shoes will drop next? Who knows, maybe covid came the wuhan lab?
