Hi All,

As mention in another thread, I'm currently trying to repair the LCD of a Roland SRV-330.

I suspect that the LCD itself is the problem however I was wondering if there's a way to verify the output of the LCD driver before I buy a new LCD?

Cheers,

Chris

Liquid Crystal Displays draw very little current to makem change state, in fact almost nothing.
There may be great difficulty in monitoring what is going on.
Personally I would;
Check for clock and data, check there is activity around the driver chip with the correct voltages present and it changes state as required then if all seems OK but no display, unless the LCD is physically broken, there are not many options available without specialist test gear. At that point, I suggest the display and or driver chip has failed.
