OK, that sounds reasonable. Would be interesting to have an order of magnitude of the resulting current noise.
BTW, Farnell stocks 1N4007GP as well.

Just FYI, Digi-Key carry the 1N400xG series by Diodes Inc., which - according to the data sheet - is glass passivated too.

This probably deserves a topic of it's own, but I'm looking at building 2x this preamp into a simple 2:2 ENG style field mixer, with master channel faders, channel assignment (L/Both/R - no pan pots), headphone monitoring and led metering.
I was toying with the idea of putting the mixer stages between the '1510 and the buffer opamp, but realised the buffer feeds back into the '1510, so I guess I really need to the treat the mic preamp as a complete building block?
I'm assuming I can remove the 49R9 loading resistor on the output if the next stage is a summing amp?
