That is incorrect, a deliberately misleading fox news take on things. Much like the erroneous corporate greed angle coming from the msnbc side.
Everyone needs to turn off the cable "news". If you really want to know what's going on look at M2 We've had a staggering level of incompetence / malfeasance from central banks around the world, with complicity from world leaders. And yes that includes both Trump and Biden.

We could use some fresh blood like that in large parts of the world, in Germany for sure.
I think there are whole parts of the population who simply don´t get represented (I mean in action, not in flowery speeches) at all in our corroded democracies.

Fiction aside, although illuminating, the circumstances around how Germany succumbed to a dictatorship serves as an example how difficult circumstances changed peoples minds, and how effective the skillful lying and manipulation was. In a few short years they went from being an autocratic state, then a devastating war, then a fledgling democracy,, then back to an autocracy,, but much worse.
Fascism? There were few MAGA hats in the crowds of ultra-violent night rioters in the streets, sieging fed buildings, during Kristalsommer 2020. How many of those black clad savages are sitting in jail, charged as domestic terrorists, awaiting trial years later?
