What percentage of new cases are vaccinated versus unvaccinated? Data shows unvaccinated people are contracting COVID at 3-4 times the rate of unvaccinated.

Except the data doesn't show anything remotely like what you are saying. If you have evidence to the contrary by all means post it.
You're aware that If I get vaccinated and on day 13 after my 2nd shot I "tests positive" I'm tallied as unvaccinated... you knew this right?

The CDC literally is saying this right now... what do you mean the data isn't showing? It's in the data!

Here's a thing: do not bring "data" to me until you look at FluView and then FluMart and tell us what happened to the flu during COVID and why it's coming back now, and how many of the SARS-CoV-2 deaths (of which > 90% over age of 50 and of those 95% had at least 4x comorbidities) had a P&I declaration on the same cert? Do you even know? Do you care to even look?

hey remember when they sold us the vaccines as 95% effective (with no mention of the 6mo until greatly waning efficacy) ...before they mentioned the boosters... and the 4th shots? with a record # of cases on the 7day SMA 🤓 after a year of vaccines in the field seems odd to me guys 🙂

7day SMA casedemic is at all time highs live look at bagholders: "vaccines are working guys!!!" 😂🤣🤣🤣

Anyone think it's a coincidence that the CDC is changing their tune slightly after Pfizer lost their lawsuit to withhold trial data for 75 years? Hmmm

I sold my pfizer stock last week with a nice profit. I also sold half of my United Health because I caught a double (so now I'm playing with house money).

I am too old to be trading common stocks but TINA.

Obesity, fi, is counted as a comorbidity too.

This isn't what you think. Stats are still hard, unfortunately. Or do you think it's a good thing people with diabetes, obesity, cancer and a lung infection should simply die?

That would obviously save a bundle...

I think those people should wear their masks while eating... ;) (joke if that isn't obvious).

I have struggled with my weight pretty much my entire life. I have little sympathy for those who don't even try.

It isn't rocket science... eat less, work more.

PS: The government has tried... IIRC it was mayor Bloomberg who instituted high taxes on large servings of sugary sodas trying to influence sugar consumption. You want less fat kids, stop normalizing overweight actors and models.

if only that would help.

to whom did you identify? gleason?

prevalence of cheap empty calories is just the tip of the iceburg imo. fat people are still stigmatized

I blame evolution... our fat ancestors were more likely to survive lean times to reproduce. Programming us, their descendants to over eat when food is plentiful.

I know this isn't simple because I have wrestled with this my entire life.

I am surprised that the big food industry hasn't perfected zero calorie foods, but it is hard to fool our gut... you can trick our mouth in the short term but our body figures out soon enough when there is little energy content inside the fake food.

Sorry, just sharing some personal angst.

Pfizer has announced a omicron targeted vaccine expected by March, which is quick for a new vaccine, but could be too little, too late, to impact omicron here that is in full spread.

“We know the two-dose vaccine offers very limited protection, if any. The three doses with a booster, offers reasonable protection against hospitalization and death.” -Pfizer CEO, Albert Bourla

yup, it used to be two with a booster,,, now its three with a booster....

I expect the tide is going out, so we'll see who isn't wearing swim trunks. ;)

after deploying ~45M vaccines across Australia the country has, in spite, experienced 79.603% of their ~1.6M cases (in aggregate all of whole pandemic) in the last ...(checks notes) ...28 days

This seems normal to everyone?
