TLM103 replacement capsule

Apparently JLI makes a replacement capsule for the Neumann TLM103 (K103).
Does anybody have experience with this?

I think you're right to ask about peoples' actual experiences ... Some of the data sheet details seem a bit strange (check out the 'output impedance' and the 'self noise' figures ? -- https://www.jlielectronics.com/content/JLI-103.pdf )

JLI data sheets have always contained some 'interesting' data. Also interesting that in the item listing photo the front ring appears to be brass, but in the data sheet photo it's white plastic.

The way things have been going lately, it may actually BE the capsule Neumann is using.

I bought one of these some time ago, and the front ring was brass.

Put it in an AKG P220 with @kingkorg's cap mod (I just added a 470pf in parallel to the stock cap). Like it better than the orig AKG capsule (a little noisier, though). Very smooth off-axis response.

I've had the TLM103 for almost 25 years, the FR provided by JLI can't get the sound right.

If you put jli-103 in P220 and it needed so much de-emphasis,( 690pF ---> U87 vintage sound ), it means that it is very bright and cannot work in a flat TLM103 type circuit.
