All of their resistor part numbers, specs, and construction are exactly the same as Vishay BC Components. Can I assume the resistors themselves are the same? Why then is there such a difference in price between the two?
Oh, and I might as well ask while you're reading. Anyone know the best substitute (read: available source) for those red/maroon colored resistors you see in a lot of 70s discrete stuff. Here's an example. They were Beyschlag, right? I thought the SFR25H from Phoenix/BC would be a good candidate but then I saw a photo. I don't think this is going to make my gear sound better, I'm just interested in recreating the appearance. When you've got to have that old school look, ya know? :razz:
