Yahoo groups has introduced a new style for its on-line services called 'Neo'. Unfortunately it is a complete shambles. Basic moderator functions, like being able to send a message to a prospective new member of a group, have been deleted. At the moment, anyone who joins by email, and cannot therefore say why they want to join the groups I manage, is going to be rejected because I have no way of knowing if they are a spam bot or not.
