Hi everyone!
This is my first DIY...All thanks to Jacob...

Ck12 Peluso capsule
DIY microphone body with little help from my friend
Three brass mesh soldered together, and soldered with hysol on DIY body
Beyer trannie 1:10,amazing sound trannie very happy with it....
Wimma block caps,Panasonic electrolytic,LCR styroflex caps...
Thomann 7pin-xlr cable...
PCB made here in Zagreb(Croatia)....

Was compare with AKG Solidtube and Neumann tlm149, G7 is much much better mic than Solidtube in all way,in compare with
Neumann, G7 is much better in mid range and bottom to me,Neumann has more open high but not so much...
But i think that G7 with better capsule can be amazing, think that capsule is most important thing in this mic...
Just my opinion...

Thanks to Jacob Again...

Very nice mic, Well done

Maybe also the body shape affects the sound as well... AKG Solidtube and TLM 149 have much bigger diameter. Your mic looks thinner...

Enjoy your new mic

Hi guys thanks on reply!

Yes the body is much thinner, probable this can affect sound in another way but good way....

I'll make some more pics inside the mic and show here....

I like it a LOT because this is my first DIY project, and my first meeting with electronics, make bodies, soldering mesh on body etc....

I enjoyed a lot...great experience....

Nice work!! And just to confirm you're right on the capsule theory, as I found out when I put a Neumann K67/870 in my G7. Amazing indeed! Also the output capacitor is worth playing with. First I had WIMA 2.2uF like it looks like you have, I then added more WIMA to make 4.2uF, which made the whole thing sound more fat and lovely. Now I have an old german RFT 4uF PIO cap off ebay in there and it is smoooooooth..... :) The WIMA sounded more modern and glassy, but the PIO is silky. Love it!

G7's rock!

Yes me to cause it is DIY, inox material (2mm), it si very easy to assemble and reassemble the mic....

All on one screw....

But was very very hard to solder grill mesh inside the tube....

Yes Insomniaclown! That was the most hard thing to do....

First i had long consideration about it....

It has three part, with three layer of mesh solder together and then put it together solder on tube with Hysol (loctite),but for fixing

of this three layer mesh i used hairstyle pincers and mom's clothes-peg....first inside left, than right side, and on finish on the top....there wasn't place for mistake....

After that i was happiest man on world....

You rigth Karloff70.....

I think change styoreflex(1n,10n) one for Wimmas (1n,10n) mpk4....to get more open highs on capsule

And try your idea 4.2uf on output with same Wimmas....for more bottom....

I think that i  must try Tim's Campbell ct12 for this project....capsule is very important....

I kept the styro cap, but changed one of the 1G resistors to something much smaller on account of another mic designers advice, but can't remember to what as it's ages ago. One day I might try a PIO instead of the styro, but then it might also be that I have reached the end stop and will just leave it now......as it sounds bloody lovely.....the WIMA seems to make it sound 'modern' and the PIO more 'classic' whatever that means.

One thing one day perhaps would be to put a pot on the PSU to control polarization voltage. Sort of fancy the different tones this would bring. Already have a pot on there for tube voltage, so I can run either EF86 or PF86 in there (6.3V/4.5V) and underheat if I want, which is cool. Running PF86 Siemens at the mo and it's superb. And cost almost nothing, as no one wants PF's.... ;)

In one post Jacob said that we can increase the value of resistor 1G but no decrease , but maybe is good idea to try....

Its true for Psu can be very useful for difference modification....polarization voltage, tube voltage....

Here in Croatia i don't have problem to get NOS EF86 you can get Telefunken, Philips Miniwatt,Siemens,Ei,Tungsram,RFT,Valvo everything for very low price....
