Using government force to influence elections is wrong, and very illegal.
Like making military aide contingent on investigating rival political opponents? Or pressuring the Vice President to invoke the Electoral Count Act to delay the vote tally?

The electoral college that the coastal elites abhor is part of that successful system that provides peaceful transitions.

How is this any different?
It's of course not any different, but nobody is ever going to cede the point you are trying to make.

what a photo, who took it? looks awfully staged, it's as if Stephen colbert and crew got into the capitol to have a mini insurrection and take a photo.
Unlawful entry, as described for the 1/6 folk is unlawful entry, why is colbert and crew treated differently?
One of many many examples of what we have been discussing.

Say you are right. If you truly believe this is an example of what we’re discussing, that’s a laughing matter. Stay on that Colbert train.

and yet one GOP candidate is alleged to have tampered with voting machines
I think I heard about this a while ago. He liasoned investigations into voter fraud by getting cyber people access to the machines which info they later brought to court. Guess there is a chain of command that wasn't followed....... or something like that. That's why they are using the court documents as proof the machines were accessed....

And I disagree that it's business as usual. I note you failed to address my questions regarding perspective.
I didn’t feel I needed to, as for me, your regurgitation of right wing political talking points says otherwise to me. I don’t care how you voted or care to share how I did. I’m not interested in comparing sizes. The whole notion is ludicrous.

This is an incredibly generous description of what happened. I'm sure the gentleman from Michigan would appreciate how you've bent over backwards not to call him an effing criminal.

Project Veritas is a target of the left for their past investigations.
Again, "investigations" is an incredibly generous description of what Project Veritas does. Those clowns should have been in jail years ago.

****And to get back to the Antagonist In Chief: As with Project Veritas' wrongdoing, how is it that politics has to be an issue when it comes to efforts to investigate Trump's crimes? Why is it that the right is so utterly incapable of recognizing criminals in its midst? Even if Trump were being pursued for political reasons, so what? He's a criming scumbag. My concern would be why Republicans are so obsessed with a criming scumbag getting away with all this criming. What happened to the party of law and order? Or is "law and order" just something Republicans use to subdue the folks who don't look, love, or vote the way they're "supposed to"?

Thanks. It was kinda weird to visualize a politician himself having the chops to actually hack into a voting machine lol...

Yeah Proverbs 18:17 tends to stick pretty good.
Not my job to judge others anyway. But it appears there was some wrongdoing regardless.

So your response is that I'm some kind of deplorable automaton despite evidence to the contrary. It's hard to have an adult discussion when you refuse to share anything regarding your own differences with the party you apparently support (and likely have supported for some time). I'll have to assume you'll support D candidates no matter what.

Not looking good for Trump. Will we get more and different excuses from conservatives now, or will they just make the veiled threats a little more transparent?

Among the most incriminating details in the government filing is a photograph, showing a number of files labeled “Top Secret” with bright red or yellow cover sheets, spread out over a carpet. Those files were found inside a container in Trump’s office, according to the court filing. A close examination of one of the cover sheets in the photo shows a marking for “HCS,” a government acronym for systems used to protect intelligence gathered from secret human sources

Neither.... I can wait for an idictment.
A noble sentiment--interesting how it comes up only when a Republican is involved. Al Franken, who didn't even commit a crime, would have appreciated this sort of forbearance from conservatives.

****Of course, Trump's own admission of criminal acts (sexual assault) didn't seem to sway GOP opinion, so I'm not sure what an indictment is going to do.

?

I am not a fan of cancel culture and Al Franklin resigned over sexual misconduct due to pressure from fellow democrats (and he wasn't that funny on SNL). 8 women accused him of misconduct and this was in the early days of the #metoo movement.

A criminal indictment generally results in a court trial, discovery in that trial would reveal the affidavit contents, and an adversarial process to discern the underlying truth(s). Unlike arguments in the court of popular opinion that have little to do with "truth".

Hardly. Patience is a virtue and often the truth comes out. But the media wants to spin and hyperventilate immediately. I'm reminded of a familiar Samuel Clemens quote.

Al Franken, who didn't even commit a crime, would have appreciated this sort of forbearance from conservatives.
It was the left's idiotic #metoo and "believe all women" mindless chanting that took down pompous Al Franken.

****Of course, Trump's own admission of criminal acts (sexual assault) didn't seem to sway GOP opinion, so I'm not sure what an indictment is going to do.
Too much MSNBC.

Assume away. There’s all sorts of possibilities. None of it changes your or my ability to have reasonable perspective and have a reasonable adult conversation. Your voting record absolutely does not take away your political rhetoric here.

Let me clue you in… If you continually feel you have to defend yourself of what you say you’re not, you may be…
