Anyone using real Neuman capsules in mic builds....

Can you buy a Neumann capsule just like that or you need to have a Neumann microphone in the first place?

@ o3misha, I wonder how the price of the Thiersch compares to an original Neumann.
Do you how much Thiersch ask's for his M7 capsule? Ballpark figure?

Anjing you can just buy from Sennheiser but there is know Neuman M7 nowdays the K47 now the K49

I might go for a K47 fet one over £200 cheaper in UK both sides not matched but ok for me just wanding cardiod

for K870 K67 there this guy on fleabay but not sure about where he gets them from wasnt very friendly when I messaged him about them.....any one bought from him. warrenty ?

Technologically, Gefell produces their M7  via the same vintage method. Its true. But PVC and Mylar ( especially PVC) made via different method.

If you buy the genuine Neumann K47/K49 from Sennheiser can you also buy a pedestal capsule mount form them that matches exactly or will you have to coordinate that with some other source?

Cant see it on Sennheiser website so I doubt might have to buy complete head assembly...... but might be worth giving them a call

I have often though about buying a TLM149 to use body, grill capsule & mount.... tho I read somewhere the capsule is slightly different, one sided I belieive...... also thought about TLM67 for body/grill capsule/mount I read capsule is real K67....could turn into U87 or U67..... keep original electronics incase re sale.....

Yes I recall seeing the link to the uk site... I was thinking about the USA/Connecticut source and didn't think it through. I'll go to Sennheiser USA and look for a similar page. Thanks!!!
