Bank Robbers

I was just at an Earl Scruggs concert (actually, I was playing upright bass in one of the opening bands), and I heard Gary Scruggs say something that was totally hilarious. While introducing a bluegrass song which was about a bank robber, he said something to the effect of... in those days, if you got caught robbing a bank, you got shot. These days, you get a going-away bonus cheque.
