C414EB nylon capsule pulsing output

Hi all,

I have a question regarding a C414EB that only has a pulsing output in "Hypercardioid - 0dB pad - high pass filter off" mode.
If I switch any of the modes to say to highpass 75 or -10dB pad or any other patterns, the pulsing goes away.
Any idea where to test or component to replace in this case.

If you look at page 6 EB not P48

I would look at the -20VDC supply with a scope also make sure hypercardiod is off
When you pad you load the input some more
When you engage the HPF the 2nd EF section gets turned on

You checked the fig 8 that has -60VDC on the rear of the capsule?
