wondering how processed was the sound after the recording as I cant figure out well from the video how is the snare and bass drum sound produced.

I saw an animated video once that was similar to this, but it was animated...I wonder how long this thing stays in registration, or if he has to spend 2 hours prior to every performance getting it ready?

Seriously cool. Clearly still a problem with signal to noise ratio - I am sure you saw the ball bearings leaking onto the floor near the end.
