Going back over the thread, Dirty Garry says to Frederick, regarding the Interstage (Sidechain) transformer, "Check that screen from 3/4 in do not connect to ground", but the Interstage transformer wiring diagram indicates that pin 3/4 are connected to the shield wire, which is then connected to pin 3 of the PCB.

I am using a Sowter 9145 which has a screen wire that I connected to the secondary SH connection on the PCB.

Since we don't have a schematic, I can't tell where pin 3 on the PCB goes.

So I disconnected the shield wire from SC TRX Primary Pin 3/4 at the PCB SC Pin 3; No effect on the output of the SC TRX, still zero on all 3 PCB pins, but I did lose all gain during compression and now have no signal returning during compression.

I put it back where it belonged and restored the gain function.

Does anyone out there want to take a shot at finding the problem with this unit? I don't have an oscilloscope or signal tracer, so I don't think I can debug this intelligently. I am in the US and am willing to pay to get this thing working. You just have to be able to tell me what is broken so I don't repeat the problem on the second unit.

Any takers with the experience and equipment to troubleshoot and fix this unit?
