If you wannt the panels/cases that I'll be doing, you can order them here http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=35422.msg500579#msg500579 , no discussions necessary, lol
I don't think a 2U design's the best way to go, you'd use up 4U of rack space for 2 channels, whereas with a dedicated 1U stereo preamp and 2x 1084EQs you'd only use up 3U; plus, I can't really think of a design concept for a 2U pre+EQ that I'd like, given that the dimensions for the EQ are already set. Well, why not, but Pete's probably the man for this then.
Thanks,
Dan

I'll create a "kit" with a single part number for ease of ordering...... if Jim emails me a BOM I'll look at adding the electrolytics, wimas and transistors as well (but not resistors unless there is an unusual value like 4M7).

This looks like a great project. Any news on a kit, Colin? Checked the site but didn't find anything. Also, any guesses on the cost of the final build, anyone? I'd love to order a pair but the lack of info on the final product has kept me sitting on the fence for quite a while. Thanks.

So, that means your EZ1084EQ & a Pre73 should be pretty similar to a 1084 with a preamp?
