One of my favorite musicians is Australian and uses vintage goldentone amps.

I know very little about them other than they were an Aussie company that made amps out of Melbourne.
I have seen schematics and they use the noncommon(6l6,6v6,el84,el34) power tubes.

Might be a future diy project as the amp sounds awesome. It has its own flavor different from the fender,Marshall. Vibe.

Anyone else ever seen or heard one?

Found a gold tone schematic. Used a 6dq6 output PP tubes. Is that the amp. Gibson also has a gold tone series.

The schematic is a golden tone 1762. So it is a part of the series. I just miss quoted. I’ll look at

I spoke to a mate of mine in AU as I thought he might have one. He has a couple of Moody amps which he said are of a similar era and quality. He did say he has played through a couple of very sweet Goldentones.
