@Gustav Excuse my dumb question, but as it is not "exactly" written on the PCB(and we have a builders discussion here): DIL connector goes on which side ? On the side of the Lorlin or adjacent (like mine on photo) ?
My assumption of placing it like this ? No silkscreen on top for the connector and below we dont have silkscreen on the solder side.

On the boards I had made, the silk screen was there, so thats odd.

It says "mount connector to back" "gap to edge"

I removed the silk screen outline and wrote text to make sure noone just sees the footprint and mount it to the front.

On my way out now, but maybe its visible in the gerber viewer or something?

Quick question :) In the BOM I see 2 x 50K Lin pot ( Sidechain SUM ) , is that a mistake? I can't find any connections for it

Thank you!

ah okay. so i search thru the archives and will surely find a correct one. Got a hint on how to mount the white LED ? Waiting for answer from Frank (frontpanels.de) but i think either mounting it on top or drill a small fitting hole.
i'll see. wiring & power tests first

I have tried drilling, and various internal mounting methods. I end up breaking a lot of meters, and leaving them more vulnurable, so what I do is.

I just aim the beam appropriately and glue the LED on top of the meter using a glue gun.

@janczmok There is a video on gustav's youtube that kind of shows him doing it actually If I'm not mistaken ( Part 12 of gravity's rainbow)
Very soothing and educating to watch !

@Gustav Should I take 12v to vu meter here + and - ?
I tried and whit a 2K resistor as Frank from frontpanel suggested. No light just needle jump when turn on/off

Checked all voltages everywhere and its fine :)

Documentaton states:
big tabs = meter needle Connection
small tabls = led power 2k resistor should work for 12V or 24V

so 12V need to go over with a 2K resistor to the small tabs. you maybe have connected those to the big tabs, which would be the meter connection (in the side chaim sum, where the 2 pin connector and the 500 ohm trimmer is (left of gain pot connector)

No it's conencted as it should Jan. Small tabs to NEG12 POS12 as in the picture.
