This is how it’s connected and whit 2k resistor on +
Red to + marking on meter
Black to - marking on meter

You seem to have it hooked up between the tests points for -12 and +12V, so thats a 24V differential.

I will make a revision note of adding a 2 way molex for an LED, but for your purposes, take it The +12VDC testpad in the PSU section, and return it to somewhere where the return current/GND nodes meet. editf course, with the resistor in series.

Still the same so I guess my leds are out… but is it ok to connect like in the pictures?
I will order a new vu meter…

Is it simply that you fried your LED by hooking it up across the full +/- voltage? Surely you don't need to replace the entire meter, just the LED itself.

Is it hard to take the meter apart and find suitable leds?

I don't know how tricky it is to disassemble this particular meter, but typically the case is just held together by a few screws. As long as you're careful and pay attention to where things go, you should be fine. And even if you destroy it by accident, you're just back to where you started (replacing the meter), right? So nothing to lose.

As far as the LED itself, I can't imagine it's anything more special than an off-the-shelf 3 or 5mm LED. Should cost you pennies and be very easy to find.

Thanks man! Yeah you are right. I will try replace leds. And in the meantime I can still continue to finish the rest and calibrate, works whitout fancy leds
