Whoops, like your work. Ive been listening this morning.  Nice and organic but jazzy and laid back.  Brave not going to verb syrup on everything.  Nice.

On the pedal I have one more thought.  If you break the connection into the blend pot from U5 pin7 at the pot it becomes an insert point and could be wired to a TRS jack like on a unbalanced mixer insert.  You could then have TRS normal so if your not plug in T and R would connect and pedal is normal.  If you want passive rolloff you plug jack with 10k pot and cap .  If you want an active EQ you plug a TRS Y cord and plug eq or eq pedal in for tone.    Just a thought.

Thank you so much, and thanks for the idea.
But I really just need something really simple, if it's simple and works thats fine, I dont need to try all the possibilities. Just want to be able to make it darker . Will try Abbey circuit next type I go to the shop

Thank you

You can check below some mixes I did
I'm glad to hear there's Portuguese music other than Quim Barreiros!
Some of them remind me of Paralamas do successo, that I discovered in Rio de janeiro.
I've recently became aware of Katia Guerreiro; to my unauthorized ears, she's the only one that can revendicate the title of successor of Amalia, certainly not Mizia.

I think whoever you got in contact with didn't know much about Portuguese music either. LOLOLOLOL
It's the equivalent of me saying "I'm glad to know finally that there's more music in the USA besides Christian Rock bands"

Well,
music in Portugal is quite diverse and rich.
There's a lot of artists and bands, all the styles you can imagine, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, Electronic, Traditional, Acoustic, Fold , Indie. The level generally is quite high also.

There's also music made in Portugal that is sang in Portuguese and also a lof of artists that sing in English, like I told you it's quite diverse.

just some bands/artists that sing in English:

On the Fado singers, there will never be one successor of Amália, that is untouched, but there will always be a lot of successors.
There's a lof of great and interesting singers nowadays, too many to post here, but these ones are all around favourites:

Cristina Branco
(My favourite, it's not traditional Fado, it has a lot of different influencies in the arrangements)

Ana Moura
(an all around favourite in the country and worldwide)

Gisela João

Actually, my contacts with portuguese music are mainly with the not unfrequent parties held at the football soccer stadium that's next to my house. I hear a lot of songs that seem like Bavarian oompah-pah with Portuguese words and football soccer songs. I listen from time to time to a Portuguese radio, but the songs seem to be in the same vein, they have nothing like rock, jazz or reggae.

Like I said, your contacts are not really good. You are talking about people that don't live in Portugal and don't really know what happened in the country in the last 30 to 40 years. Also people that left because they had no education and lived in rural areas. Thats really easy to understand by the names you spoke about.

You are not listening to Portuguese radio, you are listening to an American Radio focused on the Portuguese  Emigrant community in the US, not on general Portuguese people.

That's Really different

I live in Lisbon, I probably have more in common with any German, American or English person than any person from the Portuguese Emigrant community. I can say the same for most of the country

I'm speaking of my place in France, not my place in NOLA, so it's not an American radio, it's a radio created by Portuguese living in France that have frequent contacts with their country - most of them spend their summer vacations there. But I suspect the soccer connection explains the paucity of music.

Mate, although I though you were in the US everything I said still applies, you are not receiving music from Portugal you are receiving music for an emigrant community.
Most Portuguese emigrants in France are from Tras-os-Montes, it's a specific rural area in Portugal, is not an example of the country.

Your misconception comes from there, receiving from the wrong source.

Check the links I posted, if you want to know more I can give you more bands and artists for you to listen.

By the way, as you are in France come to Lisbon for a visit, you will have a great time.
